Spinal Cord Stimulation (Boston Scientific)
Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), also called Neurostimulation, uses electrical impulses to treat back and leg pain. Electrodes are inserted into the epidural space and connected to a generator. The electrical impulses interrupt pain signals so they cannot reach the brain. A trial implant will be used for one week. If the patient experiences pain relief, a permanent implant will be placed. An external control unit is used to adjust the system. Learn more about spine surgery and see how IBJI can help you.
