• Dr. Benson has presented over 40 scientific exhibits at national academic medicine meetings and has given more than 200 educational talks at local and national medical education audiences.

Media Activity

• Dr. Benson has served as a public education spokesperson for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons for the past ten years and he has been interviewed by national media sources, including print, radio and television, more than 100 times during that time. He has also been interviewed live on national talk shows including "Good Morning, America" and "The Today Show". As of February 2009, Dr. Benson will be serving as Chairman of the Academy's Public Relations Oversight Group.
