Welcome to the neighborhood! Illinois Bone and Joint Institute is happy to announce the opening of a new location in the Avondale/Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. Easily accessible off of I-90/94, the new facility offers both convenience and a full range of orthopedic care in a spacious and newly constructed facility. The new building opened its doors at 2923 North California Avenue on November 4, 2013.
With 18,000 sq. ft. of space, the office was designed from the ground up to meet the needs of IBJI doctors and patients. It provides a coordinated and collaborative care environment with access to orthopedic surgeons and immediate onsite care. Services that patients have come to expect at IBJI locations are fully available, including:
- Joint reconstruction and replacement
- Hand, elbow, shoulder, and spine care
- Hip, knee, foot and ankle care and surgery
- Pain management
- Sports medicine, including children’s and women’s sports medicine
- Coming early 2014: MRI services
In addition, the new location offers in-demand services such as rehabilitation programs, physical and occupational therapy, and diagnostic imaging, including MRI and advanced x-ray technology. In fact, IBJI is one of the first area health systems to offer advanced diagnostic imaging featuring the latest radiology software tools. New hardware technology enables x-rays to be taken while patients are standing or sitting, eliminating the need to move patients on and off an x-ray table.
Lastly, orthopedic immediate care services are available through OrthoAccess®, a faster, more affordable, high quality alternative to a hospital emergency room for minor orthopedic injuries. Hours are as follows:
M & W 7am-6:30pm
T & TH 7am-6pm
F 7am-noon
