Meghan Brewster, PT, DPT joined the IBJI team in September, 2020. She graduated from Saint Louis University receiving a BS in Exercise Science, with a Minor in Spanish, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Meghan, an Illinois native, grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago with her parents and three brothers. An active athlete, and sports enthusiast her entire life, Meghan competed in several sports including basketball, softball, cross country, and most notably, volleyball, where she competed at an elite level through high school. She came to realize her passion for physical therapy after a knee injury in high school led her to become a patient herself. “I know firsthand the effects an injury can have on someone’s physical and mental well-being, and now it is my job to help get my patients’ quality of life back and return them to their pre-injury state.”
Working previously for IBJI as a rehabilitation tech solidified Meghan’s desire to work for the organization as a physical therapist upon graduation. Meghan was looking for a company with not only a great group of educated and experienced therapists, but one with a long standing community reputation for exceptional patient care. She enjoys working with patients of all ages with their myriad of injuries and diagnoses and is thrilled to be part of the IBJI team. Physical therapists are uniquely qualified to make significant differences in people’s lives, and Meghan savors this responsibility, not just for the challenges it poses, but for the internal rewards it extends.
Currently, Meghan continues her love for physical fitness with beach volleyball, running and kickboxing. She also enjoys reading, traveling, exploring Chicago, spending time with friends and family and cheering on the Cubs!
