Emily is a Certified Hand Therapist who has been working with Illinois Bone and Joint Institute since she graduated from Rush University’s Occupational Therapy program in 2015. She joined the Avondale team in 2016 following one year working at the Glenview and Wilmette offices. As an occupational therapist in an orthopedic setting, Emily treats the upper extremity from the fingertip to the shoulder. She enjoys working with patients in all stages of life, treating a wide range of upper extremity orthopedic injuries from fractures to tendonitis and tendon repairs.

Emily grew up in the suburbs north of Chicago, raised by an internal medicine physician and an artist. From a young age she understood the importance of healthcare and the effects illness and injury can have on quality of life. In her free time, Emily enjoys running, baking, crafting and spending time with her husband and mini goldendoodle, Rebel.
