Emily joined the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute team at the Glenview and Wilmette offices in 2015. Prior to beginning her occupational therapy program at Rush University, Emily worked as a rehab tech assisting occupational and physical therapists at the Highland Park office. She enjoys the accessibility of the IBJI hand surgeons when questions arise during treatment. Emily appreciates all of the knowledge and experience the team of occupational therapists share with each other to continue to grow and develop professionally. Emily enjoys working with patients in all stages of life, treating a wide range of upper extremity orthopedic injuries from fractures to tendonitis and tendon repairs.
Emily grew up in the North Shore, raised by an internist and an artist. From a young age she understood the importance of healthcare and the effects illness and injury can have on quality of life. She worked as a corporate interior designer prior to making a career change to OT, so she also understands the complexities of the environment and how they impact a patient’s daily function. In her free time, Emily enjoys knitting and spending time with her husband and puppy, Rebel.
