Biography
Alexa Moreira, MD, is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician and fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Medicine specialist dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. She completed her Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at Rush University in Chicago after completing her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami.
Dr. Moreira earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of South Carolina. With a background rooted in both medicine and innovation, she has a particular interest in advancing pain management through emerging neuromodulation therapies. Her approach focuses on helping patients reduce pain, regain function, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Pain management is about more than reducing pain. It’s about helping patients regain function and get back to the activities that matter to them.
