Biography
Dr. Auriemma graduated cum laude from Hope College before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He also earned a Juris Doctor cum laude from The John Marshall Law School. Dr. Auriemma completed his residency in Family Medicine at Hinsdale Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident.
Dual board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine, Dr. Auriemma brings extensive clinical experience to patient care. After starting his career in family medicine, he established his own weight management program in 2006. For over 20 years, he has led dedicated healthcare teams as a medical director, empowering individuals on their personal journeys toward better health and wellness.
Dr. Auriemma is a Trustee and Fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association and has previously represented the organization as an alternate delegate at the American Medical Association. Locally, he is a founding member, past president, and current trustee for the Illinois Obesity Society. Passionate about partnering directly with patients to help them achieve sustainable health outcomes, Dr. Auriemma continues to be a tireless advocate for equitable, high-quality care within the field of obesity medicine.
Effective care starts with listening. I partner with each patient to understand their individual journey and together we design an evidence-based plan for long-term health and success.
