Marcy Millar, MD

Dr. Millar has served as an Internal Medicine Primary Care physician for 37 years. In addition to providing comprehensive medical care, her emphasis and advocacy are to optimize health and quality of life through lifestyle. Over the years, Dr. Millar’s legacy has involved establishing close relationships with her patients through engaged listening, care, and compassion.

Dr. Millar graduated from Rush Medical College and completed her residency at Evanston Hospital / Northwestern University. She started her private practice in Evanston, later relocating to Glenview and continuing in outpatient clinical care for 30 years. Dr. Millar then joined Northwestern Medicine, where she has practiced for the past 7 years.

In the early years of her career, Dr. Millar was involved in sports medicine, serving as a team physician for the Paralympic Games in 1992 and 1996. She also served as a team physician for the Northwestern University sports teams, collaborating with orthopedic surgeons from Illinois Bone and Joint from 1994 to 2000. This experience sparked her interest in wellness, exercise, and nutrition. Dr. Millar will now continue with this passion in lifestyle and metabolic care at Illinois Bone & Joint OrthoHealth.
