Kaitlin has recently joined the IBJI Rehab team of Gurnee in September, 2017. She has 3 years of experience working within the IBJI family as a Rehabilitation Technician at the Glenview location, and has now returned to the IBJI team as a PTA. Kaitlin is passionate about providing a helping hand to patients recovering from diagnoses ranging from the neurologically involved to those with orthopedic and post-surgical intervention needs. She finds the best treatment to be ones that get the patient actively involved in their rehabilitation process, taking a proactive and patient-centered approach to all therapy sessions. Kaitlin firmly believes in the importance of teamwork and looks forward to working along side Doctors, Physical Therapists and fellow PTAs within the rehab team to help patients to reach their personal and functional goals in a welcoming, positive and supportive rehab environment.
Previously, Kaitlin was a Division 1 Softball player who earned an undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from Saint Francis University (PA). She discovered her love and passion for Physical Therapy through spending hours in the capable hands of ATCs and PTs alike during her 4 years of NEC varsity sports. Due to her first hand knowledge and experiences with injuries, Kaitlin is highly motivated to increase awareness toward preventative medicine, physical health, fitness and wellness programs within the community; fitting the new OrthoHEALTH initiative of IBJI.
Outside of the clinic, Kaitlin enjoys playing seasonal recreational sports including flag football, basketball and baseball/softball within her local community. She is also an avid CrossFit athlete/coach and enjoys competitive and team centered challenges such as fun runs and obstacle courses.
