Tina Badiola, PT, DPT, has been practicing in orthopedics for nine years. She was born and raised on the north side of Chicago and has been working at the Morton Grove Illinois Bone and Joint Institute for seven years.
Tina enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnosises ranging from Sports medicine (ACL Rehab/ Phase IV/RTP testing, hip labral repairs) to Lymphedema. Lymphedema is referred to excessive swelling in one of both arms or legs and is caused by dysfunction or damage to lymph nodes. Tina is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) and uses some of the manual techniques on her post-operative patients to help decrease swelling in their limbs. Tina is also a Performing Arts therapist specializing in dance, gymnastics, and figure skating. She is also an OrthoSync evaluator (Medicare pre-op evaluations for total joints).
Tina’s background in dance, gymnastics, and volleyball form the basis of her appreciation for both the performing arts and sports. Tina enjoys dancing, playing volleyball, and attending professional sporting events in Chicago and traveling around the US and different countries. Tina also enjoys volunteering with Global Brigades by providing basic medical and dental care to those that live in rural areas in Central America.
