Biography
Having practiced physical therapy since 2001, Tara thrives on building strong relationships with her patients and customizing her treatment programs to fit each patient’s personal goals. She enjoys using her manual therapy training to provide hands-on care for pain relief and improved mobility. She holds an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification through the APTA. Tara’s special interests include sports-specific therapy for athletes of all ages, as well as post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder rehab. She has received advanced training in myofascial release, IASTM, Pilates, pelvic health, cupping, kinesiotaping, compression wrapping, and blood flow restriction therapy. In 2022, she obtained her CYT-200 yoga teacher certification. She holds a first degree black belt in Shotokan karate and is working towards a second degree. As a professional violinist and pianist, Tara is knowledgeable about the issues common to musicians suffering from playing-related injuries; and as a karate-ka and yoga enthusiast, she is familiar with the unique physical demands of both disciplines. Tara speaks conversational Spanish. She is passionate about travel, baking, music, karate…and all things Croatian, thanks to her family heritage.
