Biography

Shannon Brekke, PT, DPT, graduated from Marquette University’s physical therapy program in 2012 and has been practicing at Illinois Bone and Joint Institute since that time.

Shannon enjoys having the opportunity to treat a variety of orthopedic diagnoses and seeing patients of all ages. She is a participant in the OrthoSync program, which is dedicated to creating personalized post-operative care plans for after total joint replacements and takes an active role in the recovery of many joint replacement patients. She is also a member of the manual therapy special interest group.

Shannon values the importance of a healthy lifestyle, exercises regularly and played softball in the past. This helps her relate to her patients and understand the importance of helping patients get back to their optimal physical condition.
