Tish Butler, PTA, was born and raised in Chicago, and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics since 2009 at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute. In 2012, she was promoted to the Rehabilitation Technician Supervisor in Glenview and was responsible for hiring and training the rehabilitation technician staff. In 2016, she was named the PTA Site Coordinator of Continuing Education (SCCE); in charge of the placement of Physical Therapist Assistant students into their clinical rotations. In 2017, she was promoted to Assistant Facility Manager at the Avondale Clinic. In 2018, she started the “IBJI Rehab Social Committee,” which is used to enhance the social environment of the workplace and promote cross clinic camaraderie/interdepartmental connection. Also in 2018, she became a member of the advisory board for the PTA curriculum at Oakton Community College.
Tish has 10 years of orthopedic experience; she enjoys treating a variety of diagnoses including shoulders, ACLs, hips, knees and feet both surgical and non-surgical. Tish is an active member of the IBJI sports medicine group and enjoys working with all types of athletes. She has also participated in the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute running clinics. Tish is motivated and dedicated in using the most appropriate and evidence based treatments to facilitate a full recovery. Tish guarantees a fun, positive and encouraging healing experience.
As a former Division 1 volleyball athlete, Tish participates in various sports, such as beach and court volleyball, softball, basketball, and swimming. Outside of the clinic, Tish enjoys trying new restaurants in the city and traveling to tropical climates.
