Biography

Kathryn Caneda, PTA, and northside Chicago native, has been practicing physical therapy since July of 2016. Kathryn's passion is centered on returning patients to their previous level of functions, back to their sport and/or work, and being able to improve a patients quality of life. She is motivated to learn, practice, and implement different skills of therapy in order to give her patient the best care tailored for them. She has a passion with working with gymnasts, dancers, and athletes of all ages. She enjoys treating the hip, knee, foot and ankle. 

Kathryn received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois of Chicago. She pursued her Associates as a Physical Therapist Assistant as Solex College in the heart of downtown Chicago. Through the 2 years in the program, Kathryn has gained clinical experiences in the outpatient orthopedics and skilled nursing home rehabilitation facilities. Kathryn has her certification in Graston M1 and blood flow restriction. Kathryn is also certified as a Crossfit Level 1 trainer and coaches athletes of all ages from 4 years told to 84 years old at a local gym. 

Kathryn was born and raised in the north side of Chicago. She graduated high school near by at Loyola Academy. Kathryn is an avid crossfitter, enjoys food adventures, and playing with her 12 yr old shih tzu, Betsy.
