Biography
Caroline DeGroot, MPT has been practicing since her graduation from Northwestern University Masters Program in physical therapy in 1999. She has been working with the orthopedic population for 18 years. She enjoys treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and rehabilitating post-operative patients.
Additionally, she has a specialty in Vestibular Rehabilitation passing the Herdman Vestibular competency exam at Emory University in 2004 and was invited to attend Advances in Vestibular Rehabilitation. A competency renewal course in 2014 at Duke University. Her experience with treating athletes combined with her interest in vestibular disorders led her to the treatment of concussions, which gave her the opportunity to work with a number of college and professional athletes and sports teams.
When treating patients, Caroline’s philosophy is to understand a patient’s personal goals and develop an individualized treatment plan based on the patient’s unique desires. Additionally, she believes that patient education is the key to patient compliance and success of treatment.
When not working, Caroline enjoys spending time with her two children and attending their hockey, lacrosse, and tennis games. She also enjoys running to stay healthy and anything outdoors.
