Biography

Christa graduated from Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2001 with an Occupational Therapy degree and a minor in Spanish. She practiced Occupational Therapy and Hand Therapy in her home town of Appleton, WI before accepting a position in San Jose, CA at a level 3 trauma hospital. This move west allowed her to gain knowledge and experience working with a wide array of diagnoses including hand and upper extremity orthopedics, stroke, trauma, spinal cord injury and more. In 2006 she specialized as a Certified Hand Therapist. Family brought her back to the midwest where she joined the IBJI team. She is dedicated to engaging patients in the rehabilitation process through education on anatomy and diagnoses, and also by collaborating on functional goals which when reached will allow independence in life roles, hobbies, work, and other passions.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, running, yoga, and volunteering in her community.
