Dan Gilkey, PT, DPT, joined Illinois Bone and Joint Institute following completion of his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Mount Saint Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Community Health and a minor in Spanish.
Dan has experience working with both orthopedic and neurologic populations and enjoys the challenge of seeing a diverse collection of different patient populations. With advanced education on manual techniques and treatment of the spine, he has a passion for educating patients and allowing them to become an active part of their rehabilitation program. Having spent time in Honduras, Panamá, and México he enjoys being able to connect with individuals from different backgrounds and cultures.
Outside of clinic, Dan enjoys exercising, being outdoors, and participating in sports whenever able. Originally from Cincinnati, he is an avid supporter of all Ohio State and professional Cincinnati sports teams.
