Biography

Effie Gibson, OTR/L, is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree from Marquette University.

Effie is excited to be a part of Illinois Bone & Joint Institute as an Occupational Therapist and work with a variety of patients. Her previous clinical experiences include outpatient orthopedics and acute care for neurological and orthopedic patients.

Effie’s treatment style focuses on holistic, patient centered care, with an emphasis on manual therapy techniques. She believes that collaboration between patients and their therapist is essential in order to help patients achieve their goals.

In her free time, Effie likes to spend time traveling, exploring the outdoors and with her seeing her friends and family.
