Biography
Henry is the facility manager and practicing physical therapist at the Downers Grove clinic, part of Hinsdale Orthopaedics, a division of Illinois Bone & Joint Institute. He has been practicing in orthopedics with IBJI since graduating with a doctoral degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2014.
Henry enjoys working with a wide variety of patients with orthopedic conditions ranging from joint replacements, sports traumas, and overuse injuries to ergonomic impairments. His skill set with manual interventions for best mechanical assessment allows him to help his patients achieve their optimum movement. Interventions such as neuromotor re-education, movement pattern retraining, joint mobilizations/manipulations, neural mobilizations, and guided exercises using tactile cueing are highlights of Henry’s practice. He believes that empowering patients to take their health into their own hands is crucial for them to see long-term results and return to a high quality of life.
As a former collegiate athlete, Henry uses his personal experiences playing football at Augustana College to relate to all of his patients. Having grown up in central Illinois, Henry is a fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoys being physically active, whether that be hiking, kayaking, running, or playing sports like basketball and raising his kids.
Henry is a member of IBJI’s industrial rehab team offering functional capacity evaluations and work conditioning. He's active with the sports medicine team, working with Phase 4 return to sport athletes, and he's trained in dry needling for treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders.
