Karla Hudson, MHS, OTR/L, CHT, has been an Occupational Therapist since 1987. She has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, acute care hospitals, and outpatient clinics. She believes these varied experiences help her to have a holistic approach to the care of her patients.
Always intrigued by the complexity of the hand and upper extremity, she has refined the focus of her clinical knowledge and skill development in this area since 2001, including the completion of the specialized upper extremity rehab track in her post professional Master’s degree studies. Incorporating current research and literature into her treatment plans and educating patients on exciting trends and findings that support Occupational Therapy energizes her. She appreciates the collaborative approach with the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute physicians which facilitates excellent patient outcomes.
