Jessika is a new addition to the IBJI team this June 2021. Jessika received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science with a minor in Spanish in 2018 from Benedictine University and her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2021 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Before becoming a physical therapist, Jessika was a Cardiac Rehab Phase III exercise supervisor as well as the student representative for the IHI (Institute for Healthcare Improvement) UIC Chapter for the Physical Therapy Department.
What drew Jessika to physical therapy was the opportunity to serve others by educating and guiding people on how to move their bodies to feel better. She believes that part of providing high quality care is collaborating with the patient and helping them take control of their health. Whether it be through education, demonstration, or lending a compassionate ear, Jessika seeks to optimally improve her patients’ overall health and help them achieve their goals.
In her free time, Jessika enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, spending time with family/friends, and going on walks.
