Georgiana “Georgie” Kastanis a PTA who joined the Illinois Bone and Joint team in August 2015. Native to Chicago and grew up in Schaumburg, Illinois. Played volleyball, basketball, and softball at James B. Conant High school. Attended St. Ambrose University on a Volleyball scholarship and graduated in 2013 with her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. Then went on to get her PTA license from Blackhawk College in 2015. She had one of her Clinical rotations at the Glenview location and knew this was the company she wanted to grow with. Started working for Illinois Bone and Joint at the Health Performance Institute (HPI) in Highland Park, IL in 2015.
Georgie enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses, but is very passionate in sports related orthopedics, treating athletes of all ages and sports. She is a member of the Sports Medicine Special Interest Group, volunteering for one of IBJI’s running clinics. Georgie is willing to grow and become specialized in multiple certifications such as a clinical instructor. She is a strong believer in the collaborative treatment environment possible with IBJI in order to ensure the patient’s optimal recovery.
Outside the clinic you will see Georgie enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing and watching sports and is a big foodie who likes to try new restaurants.
