Kristine Kimmler, PT, MPT has been practicing physical therapy since her graduation in 2002. She initially worked at several outpatient clinics in the Chicago-land area that specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of balance and vestibular disorders. She joined the IBJI team as a staff therapist in 2007 and was promoted to the Facility Manager at the Wilmette clinic in 2014.
Kristine enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses but has a passion for working with foot and ankle, shoulder, and knee injuries. She is an active member of the Foot & Ankle and Sports Medicine Special Interest Groups at IBJI. She began fabricating customized orthotics in 2013 and uses her knowledge of foot and ankle mechanics to make recommendations for appropriate shoe wear and over the counter shoe inserts.
Kristine is Herdmann certified in the evaluation and treatment of vestibular and balance disorders. She successfully treats individuals with Benign Paroxysimal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), vestibular hypo- function, and post-concussive symptoms. She enjoys using innovative treatment ideas to improve patient’s balance and is an advocate of reducing fall risk in the elderly.
Kristine was a member of the University of Wisconsin Women’s crew team and rowed at the Head of the Charles regatta. In her spare time, she enjoys running and has finished several marathons. She is also an avid sports fan and especially loves March Madness.
