Mike has been a member of the IBJI Rehab team since 2016, after graduating from nearby Rosalind Franklin University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Mike also holds a Bachelor’s of Biology from Illinois State University.
In his nearly 6 years prior to joining the Gurnee team, Mike served as Facility Manager of IBJI Rehab in Libertyville for nearly 2 years as well as time at IBJI Lake Bluff (Facility Manager) and IBJI Grayslake (Assistant Facility Manager/PT).
Mike’s primary focus and experience comes in the area of Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, specifically of the knee and shoulder/throwing athletes. Mike assisted in development of the IBJI Rehab Sports Return to Play program and was instructor of the Phase IV Return to Play class at Libertyville Sports Complex for nearly 3 years. Mike has also given various lectures and presentations on Return to Play rehab to area sports teams and colleges.
Outside of work, Mike lives in nearby Libertyville with his wife and maltese. Mike is an avid Chicago White Sox fan, and enjoys traveling to anywhere that has a beach and warm weather. Mike believes in the importance of developing strong relationships with his patients’ in order to achieve the highest goals of rehab.
