Melissa joined the IBJI Highland Park rehab team in November of 2019. A native of northern Wisconsin, she played tennis in high school and was a proud member of the Wisconsin Marching Band at UW-Madison before migrating to the Chicagoland after graduation. Later, she pursued and completed a PTA degree with high honors, driven by a desire to enable positive, direct impacts on those around her.
Melissa is committed to helping her patients Move Better, Live Better, which happens to be IBJI’s motto! She was driven to join the IBJI team after experiencing its integrated and collaborative team approach during a clinical rotation of her PTA program. She enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses, tailoring the best path of recovery for each patient, and believes that an integrated approach to health and wellness can help patients recover more quickly as well as prevent injury.
When she’s not in the therapy gym, you may see Melissa biking, running, or swimming around Northbrook. She has completed a number of triathlons, marathon and half marathons over the years, as well as distance running relay races from Oregon to Kentucky. She also enjoys yoga, baking, and being a good human to her rescue dog, Parsley.
