Biography

Megan Shea graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021. In 2017, she received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Throughout her educational and professional career, she has gained experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting. 

Megan enjoys working with diverse patient populations and experiencing a wide range of physical challenges. She believes a holistic and individualized approach is the best way to achieve patient success. Megan is excited to be part of the collaborative care environment at IBJI. Megan has great interest in combining manual techniques such as IASTM and dry needling with other physical therapy interventions to improve patient quality of life and outcomes. She is certified in blood flow restriction training and has a special interest in sports-specific therapy for athletes of all ages as well as post-operative orthopedic rehab. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going on walks with her husband and dog, running, hiking, working out with Peloton, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
