Biography

Alissa Miller joined the Libertyville IBJI team after earning her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2020. Prior to earning her DPT, Alissa received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology & Health from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Throughout her educational career, she gained experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting as a rehab tech at Physical Therapy Institute of Illinois (now IBJI) in Park Ridge and as a physical therapy student intern at Vail Integrative Medical Group in Edwards, Colorado and at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital.

Alissa enjoys working with patients of a variety of ages and diagnoses. Her main goal as a therapist is to help patients achieve their full potential in their daily and recreational activities. She likes working one-on-one with her patients to develop goals according to their lifestyle and needs and is committed to creating personalized care plans to help achieve those goals. As an IBJI team member, she looks forward to learning new techniques and treatment methods and growing as a clinician in order to provide the best care for her patients.

Originally from and currently residing in Mundelein, Alissa loves being able to serve her surrounding hometown community as a physical therapist. Outside of work, Alissa enjoys running, yoga, weightlifting, hiking, spending time with family and friends, walking her dog, exploring Chicago restaurants and cafes, and traveling.
