BiographyMelissa Romero PT, MPT has been practicing Physical Therapy for almost 16 years with the last 12 years in outpatient orthopedics at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Bannockburn. Melissa believes that being a part of a collaborative working environment where open communication between fellow therapists, physicians and physician’s staff provides her patients the most effective care leading to desired outcomes. Melissa specializes in treating a variety of orthopedic diagnoses which include but are not limited to: sports-related,overuse/disuse, post-surgical, and structural abnormalities. Melissa integrates research based manual therapy techniques with therapeutic exercise programs for her patients to achieve optimal results for return to prior activity level and function. Melissa is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is a clinical instructor for Physical Therapy students. Outside of the clinic, Melissa enjoys cheering on Chicago sports teams, spending time with family and friends, taking her dog on long walks and bingewatching shows on Netflix.
