Biography

Sammy is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University’s Masters of Occupational Therapy program. He completed his fieldwork training in an outpatient hand therapy clinic and at a level 1 trauma hospital. Sammy is working towards gaining the experience necessary to become a certified hand therapist.

Sammy strives to understand each patient’s unique health situation and empower them with the skills necessary to function optimally during their daily occupations. He works to create a trusting and empathic relationship with his patients and listens to their concerns at each session. He strongly believes that communication and collaboration between physicians, therapists, and clients leads to better health outcomes for patients.

In his free time, Sammy enjoys being around his family and exploring city restaurants. As a former ballroom and latin dance competitor, he enjoys choreographing social routines and wedding dances for people that want to learn. Sammy is also passionate about photography, traveling, exploring national parks, weight lifting, and honing his steak and hot sauce recipes.
