Christa Schermerhorn, OTR/L, CHT has been practicing as an Occupational Therapist for over 15 years. Originally from Appleton, WI, she graduated from Concordia University of Wisconsin and immediately began her fist position in outpatient orthopedics in her home town. From there she moved to Palo Alto, California to diversify her practice. She enjoyed working in a variety of settings including level 2 trauma and rehabilitation, pediatrics, inpatient, and outpatient hand therapy.
Family brought her back to the Chicagoland area where she has been practicing exclusively in upper extremity orthopedics. Her experience allows her to treat patient’s of all ages and diagnoses from work related repetitive strain injuries and pediatric fractures, to arthritis and traumatic injuries. She enjoys working with Spanish speaking patients.
In Christa’s spare time she enjoys running, reading, socializing with friends, and spending time with her family and the many activities her three daughters are involved in.
