Jessica joined the IBJI team in June 2017. She is originally from Tampa, FL and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Florida. She then moved to Chicago to pursue her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University.
As a former cheerleader for the University of Florida and a level 9 competitive gymnast, Jessica shows an interest in the rehabilitation of athletes with sport related injuries. She is a part of our performing arts special interest group and enjoys providing treatments for gymnasts, dancers, and other performing artists. Jessica also has training in vestibular therapy enabling her to treat patients with vertigo, imbalance, and post concussion dizziness. In addition to treating patients at IBJI, Jessica is the physical therapist for the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, implementing care to injured hockey players both in clinic and at home games.
Jessica is also the program coordinator and physical therapist for IBJI’s Sports Neurology Clinic. Through this program, she helps to promote a collaborative care team by working alongside neurologist Dr. Anthony Savino and providing onsite evaluation and care for the concussed patient as well as those with vestibular or neurological related diagnoses.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling, working out, visiting her family in Florida, and exploring downtown Chicago.
