Candice Szymanski PT, MSPT has been specializing in orthopedic
physical medicine since graduating with her master’s degree from
Carroll College in late 2004. Since then she has been passionately
building on her experience and providing excellent patient care to the
local communities as part of Illinois Bone and Joint Institute.
Centered out of the Grayslake location, she enjoys treating across the
lifespan with an avid interest in pediatrics, total joint replacement, spine
and ankle care. She also plays an administrative role as facility manager,
acts as an Orthosync lead, and assists with programs such as work
conditioning, compression wrapping and custom orthotic casting.
She also enjoys teaching as a clinical instructor to physical therapy/
physical therapy assistant students. She upholds strict standards in
documentation, evidence based treatment strategies, and promoting
community service activities including in house running clinics, spine
care exercise classes, and has worked closely with physicians at
establishing post operative protocols for a variety of different patient
populations.
When she is not working, she enjoys time with her husband and two
daughters at their home in Libertyville. You can find her with her chow/
shepherd mix at the dog park, foodie shopping at the farmers’ markets,
or hiking in the local forest preserves.
