August Winter, PT, DPT earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016 and joined the IBJI team in Morton Grove in 2017 after completing his Orthopedic Residency at the University of Virginia.
As a clinician August has treated patients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. He has treated DI NCAA and club level athletes as well as patients dealing with chronic joint pain looking to regain their every-day mobility. He is passionate about patient education and believes that helping patients better understand their bodies and healthy motion is the most important aspect of physical therapy. August’s clinical interests include knee pain in runners, acute low back pain, and chronic ankle instability.
Outside the clinic August enjoys weightlifting, cycling, and watching the Chicago Blackhawks . Having moved back to the Chicago area recently, he likes to explore all the great museums, restaurants, and shops that the city’s neighborhoods have to offer.
