Melissa recently joined the Illinois Bone and Joint Glenview clinic after spending 22 years as a staff athletic trainer at Northwestern University. During her tenure at Northwestern, Melissa worked with a variety of sports including women’s volleyball, swimming, tennis, and football. Melissa’s career has primarily been focused on treating orthopedic sports injuries in collegiate athletes for the past 25 years. She values the team approach to treating injuries and appreciates the ability to collaborate with her fellow athletic trainers, physical therapists, and physicians to provide successful treatment outcomes for her patients. Melissa’s professional interests lie in manual therapy and functional rehabilitation. As a former ballet dancer, she also has a passion for the performing arts and dance medicine. Melissa is a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science and is certified in Functional Movement Screening.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys watching sports, spending time at the beach and kayaking.
