Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a virtual doctor visit?
No, this feature is a triage tool designed to guide you on what to do next—not diagnose or treat. It’s the first step in getting the right care, faster.
Who is on the other end?
A licensed physical therapist (PT), licensed occupational therapist (OT), or certified athletic trainer (ATC) will triage your injury and offer the best option(s) for your pain or discomfort. Please note: The services provided by the PT, OT, or ATC shall in no way be considered a substitute for the services of a physician and will function only under the outlines set forth by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
Can I use it for emergencies?
No. If you’re experiencing severe pain, numbness, heavy bleeding, or a suspected fracture with deformity, go to the nearest emergency room.
Will I get a diagnosis or prescription?
No. This tool is not for treatment. You'll get informed recommendations for follow-up care (imaging, appointments, etc.).
Is this service covered by insurance?
Per federal guidelines, beneficiaries of Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, VHA, and other federally funded programs are not eligible for complimentary injury screens.
What if I still need to be seen?
You'll receive clear guidance on next steps, and we can help you schedule an appointment with the right specialist.
