She is board certified in rheumatology and specializes in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, gout, Sjögren’s syndrome, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoporosis, vasculitis and other connective tissue diseases. Bone health and osteoporosis evaluation and management are her main areas of interest and expertise. She is currently the vice chair of rheumatology and has been with Illinois Bone & Joint Institute since 2015.

She works closely with her patients to develop effective, highly individualized approaches to care that may include medications, physical therapy, exercise, diet and more. Dr. Rodriguez is pleased to offer fully comprehensive care at IBJI. She coordinates a full team that may include physical and occupational therapists; X-ray, MRI and ultrasound imaging, and orthopedic specialists who collaborate closely on each patient’s healing and wellness. Dr. Rodriguez also helps patients understand the cost of care and navigate insurance coverage so they can remain compliant with regimens.

She is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel. Zumba classes and soccer matches with her husband and two young boys are her favorite ways to stay fit.

My patients mean so much to me. I’m dedicated to maintaining their function and well-being through close, long-term relationships based on communication and respect.”

“Could not be more pleased with Dr. Rodrigues Paez. She’s attentive, listens and calls you to follow up on your health.”

“I came to Dr. Rodriguez-Paez after I went to three different doctors in a 25 year span. No one has ever helped me like her. She went above and beyond to help me. I was in so much pain, I could hardly move or walk. She listened, she checked me out from head to toe. I felt so relaxed and calm with her and thinking to myself, this doctor is going to help me. Thank God, I finally have some relief. I ended up trying new medications that worked and she got me off my steroids that I was on for almost five years straight. I can’t believe it took me so long to find such a caring, loyal doctor. I’m truly grateful for her help and I will not go elsewhere. Also, I would like to mention Maria. She’s an amazing nurse and puts in 110% for her patients. Thank you both, you’re a wonderful team.” – Barbara M.
