Dr. Richard J. Hayek is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the areas of Adult Reconstruction, Foot and Ankle, Hip and Knee, Sports medicine, and General Orthopaedic Fractures. Dr. Hayek has been practicing orthopedic surgery in Chicagoland since 1992. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University of Chicago and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine, with highest academic honors.
Dr. Hayek is proud to help his patients live better and get back to their daily activities. His practice philosophy emphasizes optimization of non-operative care before surgery, and utilizes innovative and proven techniques. One surgery which he performs is direct anterior hip replacements which can highly enhance patients recovery.
Throughout his practice, Dr. Hayek has had the honor of receiving theKober Medal (Valedictorian) from Georgetown Medical School and for multiple years he has received the Castle Connolly Best Doctor Award.
