Tommaso is a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in May 2018. Tommaso also received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Kinesiology – Exercise Science and Health Promotion. Throughout his graduate career, Tommaso completed clinical rotations in inpatient acute care at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System, DayRehab at Shirley-Ryan AbilityLab, and outpatient orthopedics at Northwestern Medicine. Tommaso has treated a range of impairments, and being fluent in both Italian and Spanish languages has allowed Tommaso to connect with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Tommaso’s specific clinical interests include orthopedic and sport-specific conditions, as well as neuromuscular impairments.
Prior to beginning his career at Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, Tommaso worked as a rehabilitation-aide since 2014 in his hometown, Elmhurst, Illinois. Tommaso enjoys volunteering in the local community events and has a passion for learning. In his personal time, Tommaso enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, basketball, football, and traveling whenever possible.
