John Linden, PT, DPT joined Illinois Bone and Joint in 2013 after graduating from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Born and raised in nearby Libertyville, IL he feels fortunate to practice in such close proximity to his hometown. His interest in a career in physical therapy sparked early on in high school when he began rehabilitating himself from his own injuries.
John believes that patients receiving therapy at IBJI have an advantage given the strong network and close clinician-physician relationships. His own treatment philosophy is geared towards empowering patients to take control of his or her situation. At the core, this revolves around patient education and setting realistic expectations at the initial evaluation. He believes treatment to all areas of the body present unique challenges and is specifically passionate about working with foot and ankle injuries, runners and soccer players.
John played soccer collegiately at Augustana College and completed the 2014 Chicago Marathon. He is an avid Chicago sports fan, rooting for a Cubs victory in the near term and follows soccer across the globe. Most recently, he traveled to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup. He has worked as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students and recently took the lead role in the annual IBJI running clinic.
