Biography

Susan Smetana, PTA, and life-long resident of the Chicago area, has been practicing physical therapy since July of 2017.  Susan's mission is centered on returning patients to their previous level of function, getting them back to work, and helping improve a patient's quality of life.  She is motivated to practice, learn and demonstrate different skills of therapy to help give her patients the best care specific to their needs.  Susan enjoys treating the hip, knee, shoulder, foot and ankle.  She received her Associate in Applied Science Physical Therapist Assistant Degree at Morton College in Cicero, Illinois.  Prior to attending Morton, she was a fitness instructor for fifteen years at many local gyms and a Physical Therapy Aide at a local hospital.

Susan is a mother of two grown children.  She enjoys boating on Lake Michigan on the weekends in the summer with her husband, Tom.
