Biography

“Julia Thompson, PT, DPT, CMTPT, completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy education in 2020 at Rosalind Franklin University. Julia is originally from Barrington, IL and is happy to be able to provide care for the community she grew up in.

Julia loves treating various orthopedic conditions, and believes in utilizing evidenced based practice to ensure her patients achieve their maximal functional potential. She is certified in trigger point dry needling and finds it to be a valuable tool for improving patient outcomes, as it can help reduce pain and improve muscle function.

Julia completed her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology at Florida State University, where she was a Division 1 beach volleyball player. The injuries she sustained throughout her athletic career further increased her desire to become a physical therapist, and are a reason she loves working closely with athletes. In her free time, you can find her coaching volleyball, and enjoying time with friends and family.”
