Biography

Dr. Craig Malk is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician. He completed his anesthesiology residency at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago and stayed on to pursue a fellowship in pain management.  Prior to joining IBJI, Dr. Malk worked in private practice at both Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

With years of extensive experience treating patients, Dr. Malk recognizes the profound impact pain can have on one’s life and he utilizes a multidisciplinary approach in treating both acute and chronic pain conditions. Due to the complex nature of pain, Dr. Malk provides a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan for each of his patients. He integrates a combination of treatments, including medication management and physical therapy as well as minimally invasive procedures that allow patients to restore function and help improve their quality of life.

Outside of work, you can find Dr. Malk spending time with his wife and three children, on the pickleball court, or enjoying a round of golf.

Providing patients with compassionate and individualized care helps build a solid foundation so we can achieve our goal of a pain free lifestyle.”
