DES PLAINES, Ill., November 1, 2023 — Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) is thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Craig Malk to its esteemed team of medical professionals. Dr. Malk, a double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician, brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to patient care.
Dr. Malk will practice at IBJI’s Chicago-Park Ridge Doctor's Office.
Having completed his anesthesiology residency at the renowned John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Dr. Malk further specialized with a fellowship in pain management at the same institution. Before joining IBJI, he served patients in private practice at both Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Malk's approach to pain management is both compassionate and comprehensive. Recognizing the debilitating effects of pain on an individual's daily life, he employs a multidisciplinary strategy to address both acute and chronic pain conditions. Each patient under Dr. Malk's care receives a tailored treatment plan, which may encompass medication management, physical therapy, and minimally invasive procedures. His primary goal is to restore function and enhance the quality of life for all his patients.
When he's not attending to patients, Dr. Malk enjoys a balanced life, spending quality time with his wife and three children, challenging opponents on the pickleball court, and indulging in the occasional round of golf.
