Biography
Dr. Raman Singh is a highly experienced primary care sports medicine physician, double board-certified in pediatrics and sports medicine. Growing up in Northern California, he developed a lifelong love of competitive soccer, mountain biking, hiking, and the outdoors. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California and earned his medical degree at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, later completing pediatric training at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
After more than a decade of active-duty service with the U.S. Air Force as both a pediatrician and flight surgeon, Dr. Singh pursued additional fellowship training in primary care sports medicine at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. This training allowed him to combine his passion for medicine, pediatrics, sports, and recreation.
Today, Dr. Singh cares for athletes and active individuals of all ages at IBJI’s Western Springs, Hinsdale, and Westmont clinics. He serves as head team physician for Nazareth Academy and Hinsdale South High School and is part of concussion management teams for several large school districts in the Western Suburbs. He also works closely with local club sports, performing arts academies, and has developed a strong network of physician colleagues who value his collaborative approach for their patients. At a more national level, Dr. Singh is on the medical team that provides care to high-level endurance athletes at the annual Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Singh is a clinical professor of osteopathic medicine and pediatric sports medicine with the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Ascension Resurrection Sports Medicine Fellowship. He regularly is invited to speak at national meetings on various sports medicine topics and pediatric overuse injuries.
Dr. Singh’s commitment to young athletes has established him as a leader in the field and a trusted partner for his colleagues, coaches, athletic trainers and the local community. His current practice focuses on sports injuries, fracture care, concussion management, non-operative regenerative techniques, and pediatric orthopedic conditions such as scoliosis.
I believe in maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle to build a foundation of wellness. I love to work with athletes of all ages and capabilities to achieve their individual goals, while ensuring they have a complete understanding of their medical and orthopedic condition. I will always pursue a team-based approach to help everyone return to their healthy state with complete confidence in their abilities."
