Sports Performance Training is a product of sports medicine that focuses on improving an athlete’s ability to excel at their respective sport. This form of training targets sport-specific skills as well as explosive movements, reaction time, speed and agility.

Our state of the art training facility specializes in sports performance and personal training to ensure that all our athletes get the best care. The Illinois Bone and Joint Institute and Health Performance Institute tailor our science and evidence programming towards your needs and goals. Strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination all instill confidence during an individual’s everyday life. We set ourselves apart by treating every client as an important individual and do not sacrifice quality simply for quantity.
Youth, High School & Collegiate Athletic Training
Program Design:
This four-week program is tailored specifically to each client. It includes one personal training session to review the program, track progress, and make corrections. This training option is excellent for those who cannot commit to regular gym time.
Elite Group Training:
This program focuses on an individual approach to speed, agility, strength, and conditioning. Routine progress checks will be given to the athlete via movement and performance testing. Elite Group Training at HPI is offered on multiple days and times to help compliment any athletes training schedule.
Semi-Private Training:
Athletes can train with teammates or friends in semi-private groups of similar skill level. Semi-private training focuses on reaching persona goals while motivating one another in a fun and competitive environment. Athlete semi-private training appointments must be pre-scheduled.
Individual Training:
This type of training is for the client who desires individual attention with one of our certified personal trainers. This training environment allows us to devote our attention on meeting your individual needs. Individual training is best suited for athletes seeking skill-specific training such as baseball hitting and pitching lessons.
Adult Performance Training
Trial Month:
A trial month provides clients an opportunity to try all HPI training services. This opportunity includes: Unlimited team training classes, 5-small group training sessions, and 1-Individual training session. The trial offer expires 30 days after purchase.
Program Design:
This four-week program is tailored specifically to each client. It includes one personal training session to review the program, track progress, and make corrections.
Fundamentals Training:
This class is designed for post-rehabilitation patients who have completed physical therapy or have been cleared by their therapist to participate. The class focuses on proper physical fitness techniques, such as strength and conditioning, to help ensure injury prevention during future exercise.
Team Training Unlimited:
This opportunity includes Metabolic Resistance Training (MRT) and Adult Functional Training (AFT) classes. Similar to CrossFit training, MRT is a high intensity workout designed to help promote fat loss and push participants to their threshold. AFT is a training class designed to promote strength, mobility, and flexibility through a comprehensive resistance program.
Small Group Training:
Small Group Training provides personalized programming and coaching for a maximum of 4 participants. Training sessions are progressive and modified for each person.
Individual Training:
Individual Training is your traditional private training. Participants will work 1-on-1 with a trainer and are provided unique and specialized programming and coaching.
