Biography
Ashley Michelsen, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant who specializes in orthopedics with an emphasis on disorders of the spine. Ashley joined Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2011 and is licensed to practice medicine in Illinois and Indiana. Her training allows her to independently treat patients in the hospital and office setting as well as assist in the operating room. She is able to collaboratively assess, diagnose, and treat patients specializing in spine disorders.
Ashley received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008. Her passion for orthopedics stems from working as a physical therapy aid while in college. Ashley received her master’s in physician assistant studies, magna cum laude, at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. Working together as a team, she and Dr. Darwish focus on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment disorders of the spine. This can include conservative measures along with surgical recommendations.
