Biography
Josie Wynveen is a family nurse practitioner with a clinical background spanning surgical care and integrative medicine. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Rush University in 2019 and began her career as a registered nurse, gaining experience in medical-surgical and perioperative settings, including both general and orthopedic surgery.
In 2023, Josie completed advanced training at Loyola University Chicago, graduating as a family nurse practitioner. Her clinical interests include hormone-related conditions such as thyroid disorders, menopause, and metabolic disease, including osteoporosis. She focuses on helping patients achieve better overall health through a comprehensive and individualized approach to care.
As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in metabolic and bone health, Josie delivers highly specialized, evidence-based care to patients navigating complex skeletal disorders. In 2026, she achieved certi cation from the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) in the interpretation of bone densitometry. This premier credential reects her advanced expertise in precisely evaluating Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) scans and accurately tracking treatment ef cacy over time. By combining her advanced clinical knowledge of metabolic health with ISCD-standards, she utilizes sophisticated fracture risk assessment tools to create highly individualized, proactive treatment plans. Her specialized skill set ensures that patients at risk for or living with osteoporosis receive the highest standard of preventive care, targeted therapeutic monitoring, and comprehensive long-term bone health management.
