Biography
Kara graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from North Central College located in Naperville, IL. Kara joined Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Palatine, IL as a physical therapist after previously working for the Arlington Heights North location as a rehab technician while earning her bachelor’s degree. Prior to her graduate education, Kara attended Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, IL and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Kara’s interest in becoming a PT grew out of her passion for gymnastics and experience as a high school varsity gymnast. Her clinical rotations included inpatient and outpatient rehab, pediatric, and workman’s compensation experience. Her treatment style includes manual techniques, strength building education, and solid recommendations for home exercise programs. Kara is a life-long learner with excellent listening and communication skills. She prioritizes patient well-being and restorative mobility.
Kara was born in Chicago and raised in Palatine, IL. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys coaching competitive gymnastics, reading, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
