Kirsten Miehlke, PTA, and a Northern Chicagoland native, has been practicing outpatient orthopedics since 2014 with the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Wilmette. Her love for the field unknowingly blossomed over her younger years while she competitively figure skated assessing other skaters biomechanics. While attending the University of Illinois at Chicago for her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, this deepened her knowledge of anatomy, physiology, exercises and body movement increasing her desire to pursue a career in physical therapy. Since graduating with her PTA degree and joining the IBJI family, Kirsten has been an active member with the IBJI Performing Arts special interest group and work conditioning program.
Kirsten truly has a passion for helping people recover and enjoys treating a wide variety of orthopedic injuries keeping the patients motivated to achieve their personal goals. She also enjoys the collaborative care model that IBJI offers with open communication between the physician and therapist to facilitate the best possible care for the patient.
In her free time Kirsten enjoys coaching figure skating and traveling domestically as well as internationally.
