Aleksandra Moe, DPT has been a member of the IBJI family since 2007 as a Rehabilitation Technician while finishing her undergraduate studies at University of Illinois at Chicago. She then attended and graduated from University of Mount St. Joseph and returned to IBJI as a full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2012. Aleksandra’s passion for the Performing Arts is rooted since childhood and progressed through college with involvement in ballet, hip hop, rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, figure skating, Shotokan Karate and poms. In 2012, Aleksandra was able to quench her zeal for the arts by jump starting the Performing Arts Medicine Special Interest Group in order to differentiate the special needs of the dancer, gymnast, figure skater, and musicians from traditional sports. Aleksandra has worked with the Cincinnati Ballet, Joffrey Ballet non-company dancers, S.T.A.R.S off-ice screening, Dance USA screening, as well as having spoken at various Continuing Education courses including the Chicago Sports Medicine Society. Aleksandra is STOTT Pilates certified and teaches private Equipment Pilates classes for dancers and non-dancers at the Highland Park facility as well as incorporates Pilates into her patient care plan. Aleksandra really enjoys treating the spine, hips and pelvis including Women’s Health Pelvic Floor.
Aleksandra immigrated to Chicago from Lithuania as a young girl, she currently living in Buffalo Grove with her husband, son, daughter, and Boston Terrier. In her free time Aleksandra enjoys hanging out with her family, exercising, visiting friends downtown, and traveling. She is fluent is Russian and Spanish conversationally.
